Epic (Guitar 2)

Animated Epic (Guitar 2) tab by Faith No More on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This is the 2nd guitar for the song. For the most part it is identical to Guitar 1. The only difference is for the harmonies and solo. So we'll just point those out here:

First harmony - Play through the octave chord sequence. This guitar starts at fret 7 with the E chord, meanwhile the other guitar plays at fret 3 with the C chord. This harmony is repeated a few times throughout the song.

Remember that octave chords are a bit like powerchords, except you need to lightly touch the middle string. This mutes the middle string. Even though you still strum it, the string is drowned out by the fretted notes either side.

Pre-Solo - This builds up to the solo and involves another harmony using octave chords. You can hear both guitars diverge at this point, just before the solo.

Solo - Both guitars play different harmonies in a 'twin lead' way. This is guitar 2, and the notes are generally higher than the notes for Guitar 1.

Outro - During the outro, both guitars swap harmonies with simple octave chord progressions. This continues until the end of the song.
