Powerslide

Animated Powerslide tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This exercise is from the Core Skills section on Slides.

Now more on sliding chords. It is a very common rock technique to slide between powerchords, so let's look at an example. This exercise shows you how to slide between simple powerchords whilst palm muting and using open chord strikes.

Pay attention to the rhythm - it's all downstrokes (in traditional rock style). Start by open-stabbing the D5 and instantly sliding the powerchord up 2 frets to E5. Now palm mute that E5 powerchord 6 times (downstrokes).

Repeat this again, however, the third time around - palm mute that E5 chord 7 times. Then open stab straightforward D5 and A5 chords. Then repeat the whole thing once more.

Remember to check the normal speed version to see how it should sound!

Use your ear to identify the duration of the slide and play along with the ActionTab to follow the timing and chord changes. With practice you will soon be able to play along with the normal speed version, and rock.
