Animated Greensleeves tab by Anon / Traditional on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

The well known old English tune 'Greensleeves' was first published in 1580. Shakespeare referred to it in "The Merry Wives of Windsor", and for a tune - it has definitely got around a bit. In 1865 William Chatterton Dix composed "The Manger Throne" - which latterly became the much loved Christmas Carol 'What Child is This?"

For playing Greensleeves on guitar, keep your fingers around the A minor and E major shapes in particular. There are some sneaky partial C and G major chord shapes in this tune as well.

Like most classical and traditional guitar songs, you will need to fingerpick your way through this tune.
