Finger Fried Rice

A tune that everybody knows. It is a very good finger exercise for beginners, partly because it is easy to remember, but mostly because it makes that little finger work out on the isn't quite as simple as it seems.

This finger exercise concentrates on your little finger. It builds control and finger strength.

The riff descends down the fretboard, repeating the same note pattern three times in different places. As you play lower down, each stretch becomes slightly harder - and you will require more finger strength and skill.

Start on the first riff, and repeat it until you've got it right. Once you've got it, move down to the second riff, and so on... Remember to keep enough pressure across both strings with each finger on the fretboard to get good clean notes!
