Master of Puppets (Interlude - Kirk)

Animated Master of Puppets (Interlude - Kirk) tab by Metallica on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

While the clean guitar carries the main backing chords of the interlude, James and Kirk play a harmony. That means each guitarist plays a different melody at the same time. This produces a harmony.

Here we see Kirk's melody. We've taken out James' melody so you can focus on just this one. However, you can hear both together in the normal speed audio. You can learn James' melody here.

1. Start with this descending melody.

2. Then there is a gap while a 3rd guitar plays a solo (which you can learn here).

3. After the gap, the same melody as before is repeated once more.

4. After that James plays simple powerchords, but Kirk resorts to playing a metal version of the clean backing guitar riff. He mixes palm muting and normal pickstrokes here, so it isn't played exactly the same way as the clean guitar.
