Fingertapping is a cool technique - enabling you to play rapid successions of notes VERY fast. It is most
typically found in blistering rock and metal solos, but is also used well in some present day acoustic
music too.
Fingertapping is quite an advanced technique, to do it you should have already worked
through hammer ons, pull offs and the hammer on / pull off
combination in particular.
To 'tap' the string with your finger - hit it in the centre of the fret (or just a little behind the fretwire) with a fast,
and hard hammering action. Watch the video to see how to perform the technique and to learn about pick tapping.
