Vibrato Blues Trick

Animated Vibrato Blues Trick tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This exercise is from the Core Skills section on vibrato.

This is a simple blues 'trick' with vibrato. Many guitarists use this technique a lot, particularly during those 'Muddy Waters' blues solos. In this ActionTab we start with a simple but oh-so-common blues slide. Simply slide your 3rd finger up 2 frets as shown, from A - B.

As soon as your 3rd finger reaches the B note on fret 9 let go of the string, and as you take your 3rd finger away from the string, play the D note on fret 7 of the next string with your index finger - using vibrato.

Releasing your 3rd finger gives the rest of your hand more freedom of movement to perform the vibrato with your index finger. Just be careful not to 'pull off' the 3rd finger, or it will sound out the open note!

Short, simple and cool!
