Take it Easy (Lead) Solo

Animated Take it Easy (Lead) Solo tab by Eagles on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This is the solo for Take it Easy by the Eagles. It's a lovely bit of country style lead, but be prepared to work at it because it is tricky in places.

The first half of the solo mainly uses your first and second fingers along the G / B strings, with some nice slide techniques. The second half of the solo involves string bending techniques rather than slides.

Techniques asides, the most awkward thing here is the positional play. There is a lot of moving up and down the fretboard between different fret positions. The best way to approach this solo if you are set on learning it (and you should, it's an excellent bit of country lead guitar) is to break it down into small chunks. Even if your first chunk is just a few notes, work at it until you get it right at a slow speed, then build speed with it. Once you've got it, move on to the next chunk. This is the fastest way to crunch your way through most solos. This one is an especially good example, because it naturally divides into small chunks.
