Speed Tech 17

Animated Speed Tech 17 tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This exercise is from the Core Skills section on developing Speed Techniques. As usual, check out the normal speed audio first.

This time we are going to get a little more complicated. We will be shifting up the neck after every 2nd string, plus using 2 different hammer combinations (fingers 1-2-3, and 1-2-4). Also, we shall finish by using pull offs on the last string.

Remember to remove a finger the instant it has played. Otherwise you won't get a smooth flow as you shift positions. However, you must also leave your fingers on the last string so they will be in place for the pull offs!

Another particular difficulty here is the 3 fret jump between the G string and B string notes. To do this, you must get very precise with shifting your hand into position quickly. Remember to practice slowly at a pace where you can do it just fine, and then push forward with the speed a little more. Keep doing this until you are able to shred smoothly. It will take time and practice, but IS possible!
