My Sharona (Solos)

Animated My Sharona (Solos) tab by The Knack on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

Here we see the 2 solos played during My Sharona. If you want to learn the main Guitar Riffs, then check out this ActionTab instead. Be warned, the first solo here isn't too hard (as far as solos go), but the second solo is very difficult in places. It's not for beginners.

Solo 1 - The first solo is shorter and occurs in the middle of the song. It is much easier than the second solo, but you will still need to be versed in some common lead techniques to play it.

During this solo, he trades lead licks with the other (rhythm guitar). So, he switches to playing this chord sequence while the other guitar plays a neat little lead lick (seen in this ActionTab). After that, he reverts to playing lead again. Most of the lead parts here use the G pentatonic minor scale.

Solo 2 - This solo is played over the outro chords. It is a long solo, and although it starts off simple enough (as far as solos ever do) it becomes much more difficult after a while. This one is for experienced players only.
