Muting 8

Animated Muting 8 tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This exercise is from the Core Skills section on Muting.

Funk is about rhythm and control. Here we use muting with a partial C minor chord to play a simple ska rhythm.

Use your thumb to mute strings from over the topside of the fretboard again. Mute anywhere along the lowest 2 strings that's most comfortable. You aren't playing notes on them with your thumb, so placement isn't crucial...just as long as these strings are deadened.

Remember not to sound out harmonics around the 7th and 9th frets with your thumb though!
