Hopoff 4

Animated Hopoff 4 tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This exercise is from the Core Skills section on the Hammer On / Pull Off Combination.

Here we use the Hammer On / Pull Off technique in a little solo 'phrase'. A phrase is a term guitarists use to talk about parts of solos. In this case we use the hammer on / pull off combination, some sliding and vibrato.

Vibrato means to waver the note with your finger by slightly bending the string to either side of its starting position. You will encounter specific vibrato lessons later on in this Core Skills series. Don't worry if you don't know about vibrato yet, just slide up and hold the note instead. It will still sound good.

This little solo lick is using notes from the E major scale. The note sequence is:

E - F#(ho/poff) - E - F# slide to - G# (hold or use vibrato)
E - F#(ho/poff) - E - D# - E(ho/poff) - D# (just hold)
