Guitar Shred 2

Animated Guitar Shred 2 tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This is a speed picking exercise. The whole point is to get playing these 6 notes together as fast as possible in a repeating pattern. The notes are the first 6 of the E natural minor scale.

This technique is very useful, and many solos will include it, particularly during fast 'runs'.

Alternate picking is used (notice the pick stroke directions used for each note). The alternate strokes give economy of movement, and enables faster picking. However, speed picking is also about synchronisation of BOTH hands. If you are a little early or late with either your pick or your finger hitting the right note on the fretboard, it can ruin the flow.

As always, start slowly and build up speed once your fingers have learned the right places / movements.
