DADGBE Tuning (Drop D)

Animated DADGBE Tuning (Drop D) tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This ActionTab is from the Theory section on Alternate Tunings.

Drop D Tuning is sometimes used in rock and metal. If you are in standard tuning, just hit the middle D string and then tune down your Low E string until it matches (D is 2 frets lower than E).

Low D - A - D - G - B - E

Drop D tuning is almost the same as Standard Tuning, except the Lowest string is tuned down to D. Notice that the name beside the Lowest string has changed accordingly (from 'Low E' to 'Low D'). You can always tell if an alternate tuning is being used by looking at the open string names in any ActionTab!
