Black Magic Woman

Animated Black Magic Woman tab by Santana on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

Although this song was originally made by Peter Green (early Fleetwood Mac), Santana's version is much more well known. The song is in the key of D minor and revolves around the Dm7 Am7 and Gm chords.

Santana switches between lead and rhythm styles with a kind of latin / blues rock lilt throughout. Definitely one of the finest examples of his unique style. Use only mild distortion for the lead, and bring the volume down for the rhythm / chord parts (during the sung verses). Most of the lead involves the D minor scale for melody, but keep your ears open for the backing chord changes between Am7 and Gm too. He plays some interesting little arpeggios and licks there!
