Short Bends Lick

Animated Short Bends Lick tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This exercise is from the Core Skills exercises on string Bends.

Here we show you a short, simple blues / rock lick using bending techniques. The scale used is the E natural minor scale, which is extremely common in both styles of music. You can find out more about it in the Theory section.

Here, we focus on getting tight with doing faster bends. It will take some practice to switch between strings quickly and perform the bends accurately. Just go slowly and get it right first, as slow as you need. Then when your fingers know what to do, pick up the speed.

Pay attention to the very last bend. It is Bend - Return - Bend, but only pick the first bend. This is a fairly common technique and worth knowing about. Doing things like this can help you to adapt your string bends, and get more out of them!
