Almost Honest

Animated Almost Honest tab by Megadeth on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This catchy Megadeth Song cleverly uses fairly simple riffs. As with all Megadeth songs the timing is very precise and you need to control the strings well to get dead stops. The best way to do this is combine palm muting and muting (i.e. mute with both hands) to stop all the strings.

The song is based around riffs mainly using the E natural minor scale:

E F# G A B C D E

This is the entire guitar part played by Dave Mustaine. Although the clean lead guitar part has also been included because it's nice and there is nothing else being played by other guitars at that point, so if you are fast you can incorporate it into the rhythm guitar part.

The timing of the outro part is quite awkward to get right, not because its really difficult to play, but mostly because it is quite different to the previous riffs in the song. The problem is that there is a fast switch between the song and the outro riff and the timing can throw you. Practice it by itself until you get it right before adding it to the rest of the song.
