A natural minor scale 2

Animated A natural minor scale 2 tab by ActionTab on guitar. So easy you'll be playing in minutes.

This exercise is from the Theory section on scales.

Here we play the A natural minor scale through 2 octaves in the open position. In other words, we play the following series of notes at the low end of the guitar neck where we can use the most open string notes possible:

A - B - C - D - E - F - G - A - B - C - D - E - F - G - A

We are just playing through the scale and continuing on to repeat it again through the next register / octave range.

It is good practice to play through your scales like this. It helps your ear pick out the minor scale sound over time, and also makes sure your fingers get better and faster at picking out the notes. This means that when you come to make your own melodies from the scale notes, you will know which frets to use and which not to!
